Skamser
Founder and CEO
Mr.
Skamser founded eDiscovery Solutions Group in 2009 and is the
President and CEO. As a serial entrepreneur with an
exceptional twenty (20) year record of developing and selling
complex software technology and associated consulting services into
the Global 5000 marketplace, Mr. Skamser has been focusing on
eDiscovery solutions that utilize the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
delivery model and associated consulting services for the past five
(5) years.
Having started over ten (10) companies, Mr. Skamser has worked for
start-ups, restarts and with established companies in hyper-growth
and expansion stages. He has been a senior executive with both private and public
companies and therefore has experience managing large profit and
loss centers, large revenue expectations and large multi-national,
multi-discipline staffs. He has successfully developed and
implemented multi-million dollar national internet based marketing
campaigns and built and led high caliber sales teams selling
multi-million dollar enterprise class solutions to large
corporations worldwide. In addition, he has also developed partnerships and formed
alliances throughout the world with some of the best know companies
in the high tech industry.
Mr. Skamser has excellent written and public presentation skills
with years of experience pitching C level executives, industry
analysts, the press and Wall Street. He is an open, effective
communicator and relationship builder at all levels of the
organization, with the ability to motivate people, create enthusiasm
and generate excitement. He is a consummate dealmaker with proven
skills in negotiating and closing complex transactions. He is a
strategic thinker but can think outside the box with a high-energy
can do attitude and an in-depth understanding of both technology and
business.
In addition, Mr. Skamser has many years of experience utilizing and
teaching solution selling and customer centric selling
methodologies. Further, he has “hands-on” experience in product
management; Internet based applications design and development,
mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, finance and corporate
management.
Mr. Skamser currently speaks throughout the US on eDiscovery,
teaches CLEs on eDiscovery and the changes to the Federal Rules of
Civil Procedure and maintains and well know eDiscovery Blog called
the eDiscovery Paradigm Shift (http://ediscoveryconsulting.blogspot.com/).

Gene
Petty
General
Counsel

Mr. Petty serves as General Counsel for ESG.
His goals at ESG include relieving lawyers and their clients from
the anxiety and hardship frequently associated with the electronic
discovery process.
Mr. Petty believes that ESG is uniquely qualified to remove the
burden of electronic discovery from the shoulders of lawyers and their
clients and enable them to focus on the more important aspects of the
case—the facts and law at issue.
Mr.
Petty is also a full-time practicing lawyer handling a wide variety of
civil litigation.
Because of his experience, Mr. Petty understands the complex and
difficult issues that lawyers, corporations and their I.T. departments
face when handling electronic discovery.
Mr.
Petty earned my law degree from Loyola University Chicago where he was an
associate editor of the Children's Legal Rights Journal and a member of
the ABA Negotiation Competition Team.
Mr. Petty received a B.A. in Psychology from California State
University, San Marcos. Previously, Mr. Petty clerked for the United
States Attorney's Office in Chicago, the Illinois Attorney General's
Office, and interned for Judge McLaughlin in Idaho’s Fourth Judicial
District. Prior to law school Mr. Petty worked for the San Diego District
Attorney’s Office.
Mr.
Petty regularly lectures on topics including civil law and records.
He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Professionalism and Ethics
Section of the Idaho State Bar and on the Editorial Board of The Advocate,
the official publication of the Idaho State Bar.
